Fishers Of Men was born out of a simple desire: to create a place where men could gather, lock arms, grow in Christ, and walk through life’s battles together.
In June of 2023, seven men gathered for the very first Fishers Of Men meeting. What began as a small gathering of brothers sharing a meal and opening God’s Word, quickly grew into something much greater.
Through the support and partnership of New Life Church, many of the early gatherings, events, and ministry opportunities helped shape the foundation of what Fishers Of Men is today.
As the ministry has continued to grow beyond those beginnings, TF Fishers Of Men now serves men, families, and communities through discipleship, outreach, speaking engagements, missions, conferences, and ministry events both locally and abroad.
Where It All Began
Born in 1974, Tony spent decades masking childhood trauma, anger, and insecurity behind a tough exterior and a sharp sense of humor. For over thirty years, addiction, alcohol, drugs, and self-destruction, led to a destructive cycle of jail cells, broken promises, and damaged relationships.
On April 1, 2019, that cycle nearly killed him. Tony overdosed on fentanyl and died on a basement floor. For eight grueling minutes, his then-girlfriend Pam performed CPR until emergency responders arrived. He was revived by Narcan. Five days later, Tony married the woman who saved his life.
What should have been an obituary became a testimony. In the years that followed, Jesus Christ began rebuilding everything addiction had destroyed. The turning point culminated on January 21, 2023, when Tony completely surrendered at a church altar; his lifelong, crippling anxiety and panic attacks vanished instantly, replaced by a clear calling.
The Mission Today
Tony’s rescue birthed a mission to reach the broken, restore the hurting, and prove that Jesus still changes lives. Today, he impacts communities through three core pillars:
The Movement: He is the founder and leader of Fishers Of Men, a growing brotherhood dedicated to helping men discover authentic faith, biblical leadership, and accountability.
The Book: He is the author of JESUS: THE NAME CHANGER — From Broken to Called, a raw, unfiltered memoir of God's grace.
The Message: As a speaker, Tony brings transparency, humor, and hard-earned wisdom to churches, conferences, and recovery programs.
When he isn't ministering, Tony is an avid outdoorsman who connects deepest with God in the quiet of the woods and on the water. His message to anyone struggling is simple: The same God who changed his name can change yours too. You’re not done yet!
